Southern Roots is a 20-acre working nursery in Crystal River, Florida. We grow everything we sell — palms, container trees, shrubs, and seasonal plants — and sell direct to landscapers, contractors, and garden centers at wholesale pricing. No distributors, no middlemen. When you order from us, you’re dealing directly with the farm.

Our inventory covers six categories of Florida-grown nursery stock, available in volume:

• Cold-Hardy Palms — Selected and grown for Florida’s climate. Available year-round for residential and commercial installs.


• Container Trees — Consistent sizing, clean root structure, ready for transplant. Year-round availability.


• Shrubs — Florida-appropriate varieties for borders, foundation plantings, and high-volume commercial jobs.


• Cold-Hardy Potted Plants — Potted stock suited for Florida’s temperature range. Dependable year-round.


• Hanging Baskets — Ready-to-hang seasonal baskets for retail nurseries, HOAs, and commercial properties.


• Seasonal Color — Rotating stock to keep properties looking maintained throughout the year.

Delivery & Pickup

We deliver wholesale orders directly to job sites so you’re not making extra trips to the farm mid-project. Pickup is also available at our Crystal River location at 8378 W Dunnellon Rd.

Spring is our busiest season — contact us early to lock in availability before the season peaks.

How It Works

2. We confirm current stock and pricing and send you an availability list.

3. We hold your order — once confirmed, your selection is tagged and set aside.

4. Pickup or delivery — collect from the farm or we deliver to your job site.
